Personality.

At first glance, Lady Astrid Eldrun embodies the ideal Ishgardian noble: poised, regal, and composed. She carries herself with natural authority and a refined grace befitting her royal blood. Her speech is elegant and measured, often laced with a subtle air of superiority that comes from a lifetime of highborn expectations.Beneath the polished exterior lies a deeply loyal and dutiful soul. Astrid is fiercely devoted to her knights, her house, and the Holy See. She holds herself and those around her to exacting standards, believing that discipline and faith are what allow Ishgard to endure. While she can appear distant or slightly haughty toward outsiders, those who earn her respect discover a steadfast ally and a commanding leader who stands firm in the face of adversity.She possesses a sharp mind for strategy and politics, balanced by an underlying sense of honor. Born into the ancient and respected House Eldrun, Astrid grew up amidst the towering spires and biting cold of Ishgard. As a daughter of royal blood, her life was shaped from an early age by the weight of duty, faith, and expectation. The Dragonsong War and its aftermath left a lasting mark on her family and the city-state she calls home, forging in her a deep commitment to Ishgard’s survival and prosperity.Trained rigorously in the arts of war, she rose through the ranks as a Paladin, eventually earning command of her own contingent of knights. Her skill with both sword and shield and the great sword is well known among the Temple Knights, as is her unyielding sense of justice tempered by noble pragmatism.Though she remains fiercely loyal to the Holy See and her house, Astrid has begun to look beyond Ishgard’s walls more often in recent moons. Whether seeking ancient relics to strengthen her people, forging uneasy alliances with outsiders, or confronting new threats to the realm, she stands ready to defend what she holds dear.
